Imperturbable Peace
Imperturbable means “cannot be disturbed or agitated; permanently quiet.”1 In today’s media climate, we must be intentional to remain undisturbed and unagitated in our spirit and in our soul.
Peace means “a state of quiet; freedom from disturbance or agitation by the passions, as from fear, terror, anger, anxiety or the like; quietness of mind; tranquility; calmness; quiet of conscience.”1
Peace of Mind
The Lord promises us peace. He encourages us to be “transformed by the renewing of our mind, so that we may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”2 When we renew our mind with God’s Word, we can find a peaceful and an imperturbable spirit. Once we begin walking in peace, we don’t ever want to lose it. Peace is much too priceless to be lost!
“The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.” ~Isaiah 26:3 NASB
“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” ~Philippians 4:7 AMP
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” ~John 16:33 NASB
Prayer
I pray that you find the Prince of Peace and experience an imperturbable and peaceful mind. May His peace that passes all understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

I’ve felt perturbable (is that a word? lol) this morning, so I needed your reminder today to choose rest in the peace of Jesus….
Awwww big hug, Lisa! May your day prove to be both peaceful and restful.
Imperturbable…I confess I had to look this one up. Isaiah 26.3 is the perfect match for this “new” word!!! Great writing, Lisa.
I had to look it up too, Susan! Imperturbable is definitely not a commonly used word in our vocabulary.
When all else fails…pray.
Or should I say, “Pray, for it’s through prayer that God speaks and shows us His way.”
Amen, Barb!
