We Can Trust God with All of Our Heart

Love Always Trusts

Trust is Quiet Confidence

To trust is to be confident of something in the present or in the future. Trust can also be in the One Who made us.

David encourages us to place our trust in the Lord.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB

Heart Trust

The Lord talks about those who seek Him with an undivided heart. David cries out for the Lord to give him an undivided heart. We can agree with David’s prayer.

“Teach me Your way, Lord, that I may rely on Your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.” ~Psalm 86:11 NIV

To be undivided means to be whole. When we seek the Lord with our whole heart, He says we will find Him.

Blessing for Deeper Trust

I pray you will find deeper trust in the Lord from a whole heart.

May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:23 NIV

  1. I like the “Quiet” part thought. A good reminder that trust doesn’t require constant checking or demanding!
“Trust is Quiet Confidence – To trust is to be confident of something in the present or in the future. Trust can also be in the One Who made us.” Amen!

  2. Trust in God with all your heart,
    trust with your full mind,
and if you’ll only do your part,
then you are sure to find
    that however long the road,
    beset by rut and stone,
no matter what the galling load,
    you are not alone,
for the footfalls by your side
    where heard by Cyrene Simon,
who, though he had then tried to hide
was turned from coal to diamond
in his aid to our dear Lord,
who with you now will pay it forward.

  3. May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:23 NIV
That’s the second time I have under-lined that scripture today. I must trust that to be something to listen to. Thank you, Lisa. FMF #13

  4. I appreciate the reminder that we are to trust God with all our heart and to be undivided. It’s very easy to trust him partially but still be looking to deal with it ourselves too!

  5. Amen Lisa, I love the quiet part of trust. Isn’t it true comfort to know we can trust Jesus right even when we were baby believers. When we meet new people it takes time to build trust. But with him it’s already there.
Thank you so much for sharing this with Sweet Tea & Friends this month.
