The unparalleled result of gaining wisdom is finding the Living God.
Unparalleled Result – God’s Generosity
The first unparalleled result of seeking wisdom is to discover God’s generosity. Those who seek Him find Him!
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” ~Proverbs 2:6 NASB
“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)!” ~Romans 11:33 AMPC
“Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” ~1 Corinthians 1:24b-25 NASB
“If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.” ~James 1:5 AMP
God’s generosity is revealed through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, Who is Wisdom.
Unparalleled Result – Our Fruitfulness
The second unparalleled result of gaining wisdom is to bear fruit. Christ in us manifests through us in Christlikeness.
“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” ~James 3:17 WEB
“So teach us to count our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” ~Psalm 90:12 WEB
“Happy [blessed, considered fortunate, to be admired] is the man who finds [skillful and godly] wisdom, and the man who gains understanding and insight [learning from God’s word and life’s experiences], for wisdom’s profit is better than the profit of silver, and her gain is better than fine gold.” ~Proverbs 3:13-14 AMP
“One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.” ~Proverbs 13:20 WEB
“The Wisdom [godly Wisdom, which is a comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] of the prudent is to understand his way, but the folly of [self-confident] fools is to deceive.” ~Proverbs 14:8 AMPC
“How much better it is to get skillful and godly Wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.” ~Proverbs 16:16 AMPC
“Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.” ~Ephesians 5:15-16 AMP
Unparalleled Result – Fear of the Lord
The third unparalleled result of knowing wisdom is to grow in the fear of the Lord.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.” ~Psalm 111:10 NASB
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.” ~Proverbs 3:7 NASB
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” ~Proverbs 9:10 NASB
“The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord brings instruction in Wisdom, and humility comes before honor.” ~Proverbs 15:33 AMPC
“Behold, the fear of the Lord that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.” ~Job 28:28 WEB

I went and looked real hard for God,
’cause He’s really smart,
and I know that my wisdom’s flawed,
and that my wayward heart
if left alone unto itself
will lead me far astray,
common sense left on the shelf
in favour of Olé!,
and there I run before the bull
down Pamplona’s cobblestones.
It’s a life that is not dull,
but the sound of breaking bones
is not that which God desired,
and Guardian Angel thus got fired.
I’m so glad there is someone greater than us, Andrew!
Amen. Our God is unparalleled. May we give Him the worship He is due. Beautiful post, Lisa.
He is worthy of our worship, Joanne!
That’s one of my favourite songs. Sang it in Polish in Poland (not my language). Worship – yes. Great scriptures.
Blessings
Janis
It’s such a blessing to worship Him in many languages, Janis!
I’ve been slowly reading through Proverbs. Tons of wisdom references. May we always look to Him for it.
