These are my favorite books to give as gifts to other people. I enjoy giving books for Birthdays, Christmas, Baby Showers or to sow into young people’s Summer Reading libraries. Purchasing books as a friend, as an Aunt, as a Mom and now as a grandmother – brings me great joy!

Favorite Gift Books for Young Families
James Herriot’s Treasury for Children
This is an absolutely beautiful book to read aloud as you snuggle up with your little ones on the couch. James Herriot’s Treasure contains entertaining stories of a young veterinarian that travels around the English countryside helping animals. The people and animals portrayed are so interesting! A true delight for young and old!
I usually buy this to give to young families, but I highly recommend it for grandparents as it is a true ‘come sit close to me on the couch’ book. Also, this is a great book to give to missionaries on the field who have limited libraries as it feeds the heart, soul and eyes because of the heartwarming stories and delightful illustrations.
