Spring is such a delightful time for me. I slow down to smell the roses. I stop and stare at the morning sunrise and the evening sunset. God’s beauty is literally everywhere. I enjoy the new green leaves bursting forth on the trees and the green shoots breaking forth through the garden soil. New life is all around. It’s God’s beautiful creation inviting me to enjoy Him and it. I respond with joy. What a delight to spend time with Him and to delight in Him and all He has made. My doves sing to me as I smell the climbing roses nearby. It is well with my soul for God is near.

Lisa, it’s true – spring and summer both have a way of slowing us down a bit. But then, so do autumn and winter 🙂 I guess I love every season as they each remind me to slow down and enjoy the beauty God puts in each and every day.
I enjoy every season too! Each season brings forth its own beauty, Joanne. I’m so glad we get to enjoy it with the Lord!
Beautiful word about nature here. I, too, love spring! I’m waiting on my camelia to open up a few more blooms! I also love the Magnolias near our house too. Those smells are God given! Cheers with my empty tea cup, Jennifer FMF
Yes, spring is my favorite season, Jennifer. Enjoy the blooms, the heavenly fragrance, and your cup of tea!
Ah, springtime…
In the desert spring has sprung, and sometimes it’s really neat,
but not really when the birds have sung, and wind knocks them off their feet.
Open up the big barn door slowly, with no little dread,
for the storm will gust some more, and it’ll whack you in the head,
but what the hey, the cactus blooms are God’s showing off His loot,
and I’ll retire to my room to pull the spines out of my foot,
then look out at the living sky, and envy clouds as they dash by.
Springtime is beautiful! Thanks for stopping by for a visit, Andrew.
Such beauty that is found only as we slow down. What a beautiful post! I loved the ending…” It is well with my soul for God is near.” Thank you for sharing.
Yes, I’m thankful we can enjoy His beauty, Joyce.
I love how God’s seasons slow us down.
Yes, it is His kindness to help us slow down, be still and know Him – through the beauty of each season.
When you enjoy the time you spend with God (or anyone, for that matter), you want the time to move slowly. And so maybe slowing down is the greatest worship we can give God.
Amie, FMF #21
“Maybe slowing down is the greatest worship we can give God” that is insightful Amie and lines up with His Word, “Be still and know that I am God.”
God’s beauty IS everywhere, and yes, when we see so much more when we slow our pace. Thank you for your words today! Karen (FMF #7)
It is wonderful to enjoy Him and His beauty. Thanks for stopping by, Karen.
It’s tempting to want to hurry during spring, I find, but there’s so much beauty and hope to take in that the best way to enjoy it is to slow down. And know that it is well. Thank you for sharing and for linking up at Scripture and a Snapshot!
Spring brings such an invitation for slowing down to enjoy Him and to enjoy His beauty all around us, Kym!
