Determine speaks of a heart resolve or a mindset.
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. ~1 Corinthians 2:2 NASB
As I reflect on this week, I’m sad to say that I’ve had several instances where I have tried to “help” people, but instead I have been unhelpful. Sigh. Repentance and apologies are still in process as once again I face my humanity.
I’m determined to fall on my face before the Lord knowing that He is able to transform me into His image so that when others interact with me, they will find His love, His kindness, and His embrace. There is hope.
Therefore return to your God! Hold fast to love and mercy, to righteousness and justice, and wait [expectantly] for your God continually! ~Hosea 12:6 AMPC
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. ~Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB
He gives strength to the weary and to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. ~Isaiah 40:29-31 NASB
Let us determine to know Him and to share Him with others.
