10 Bible Verses to Help us Dwell in God’s Peace

Peaceful Scenery

Prince of Peace

The Prince of Peace is here. “For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on His shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ~Isaiah 9:6 WEB

When there are wars and rumors of wars, we can turn to the Word of God for it is in Him we find peace, comfort, hope and joy. May we find comfort in these 10 verses about God’s peace.

God’s Peace Guards Us

Thank you, Lord, for giving us peace when we rise up, when we sit down, when we walk along the way and even when we sleep. Thank you for being the Prince of Peace who leads us in peace. Thank you, Lord, for a peace that passes all understanding and that guards our hearts and minds in You. Thank you for being with us, Lord. We trust You, we look to You and we choose to live in Your peace today. Amen.

  3. The peace of God is flowing down
to us from His place on high,
    but the earned peacemaker’s crown
is not found up in the sky.
    It takes choosing, every day,
to lay the seeds of wrath aside
to make a bright and gentle way
to let a loving heart abide
    within this tarnished human glass
that polished, should reflect the Lord,
so let the spite and anger pass
behind, and keep eyes front and toward
the Cross upon that lonely hill
    where His love-song echoes still.

  4. Thanks for starting my day with God’s Word. The peace verses are so reassuring. I love your profile that you write for an audience of One. Thank you for reminding me of that stance as I write also to solidify my faith in Our Father and His good love for me. Blessings to you this weekend! Jennifer, FMF Neighbor

    1. I’m glad you were encouraged, Jennifer! He is so kind to lead and guide us in our writing. May you have a blessed weekend, Jennifer!

  5. A picture of peace that always resonates with me is a hummingbird sitting on her nest in a heavy windstorm. The tree upon which she built her nest was large, but the branch was no bigger around than my index finger and the wind whipped it from side to side and up and down. Undaunted, the little hummer just sat there, at peace with the work she did building the nest. Likewise, I can feel at peace if I’ve built a good nest (relationship with God). Even when the storms hit.

  6. Beautiful grouping of verses. I am so grateful that no matter what is going on in our lives and in the world, as we look to Him, He imparts peace to our hearts and minds. How precious to me this morning is the promise He will guard us with His peace.
